Watch: The Stone Roses Reunion Press Conference

On Sunday we reported that The Stone Roses would reform and now it’s official. The band held a press conference overnight in London confirming the news that they would reform, after 15 years apart, for a world tour and a possible full length album.

After claiming they would never reunite, the original band – Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Gary “Mani” Mounfield and drummer Alan “Reni” Wren – have confirmed 2 shows at Heaton Park in Manchester on 29 and 30 June 2012.

The reunion talks came about after Brown and Squire put aside differences at the funeral of Mani’s mother. Mani spoke about the turn of events: That’s nice, you know. Good things can come out of fucking grey clouds.
