Odd Future member ‘Left Brain’ has slapped a female photographer across the face during their set at the Voodoo Experience in New Orleans yesterday. The incident occurred just after their first song when Tyler the Creator started expressing his dislike for photographers.
Vyron Turner, aka ‘Left Brain’ then decided to turn it up. He threw water at them, and then pushed and kicked cameras. According to NBC the really shocking moment came when he decided to slap female photographer Amy Harris across the face.
Speaking to NBC Harris was horrified stating:
I have worked many shows before, and I’ve had to deal with a band flinging water at the photographers, but I never expected this to happen. In the pit, the male to female ratio is about 20 to 1. There were way more men in that pit than women.
Harris decided against filing assault charges against the band but she did report the incident to festival CEO Steven Rehage.
