Black Sabbath Reunion Announcement Scheduled

Black Sabbath original members, Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward have scheduled a press conference where they are expected to announce reunion shows and a possible new album. The press conference will be held in Los Angeles at the Whiskey a Go-Go club on November 11th at 11:11 AM (6.11am Tuesday, Sydney time). The venue has sentimental value, the band made their debut their 41 years ago.

Reunion rumours have been spreading for months now, Tommi Iommi let slip in August that the original members had been meeting for secret rehearsal time. Ozzy has also been speaking to the press about the possible reunion, in an interview with Billboard last month he said:

Yes, it’s a very, very strong possibility, It’s in the very early stages, so we haven’t recorded anything yet. If it works out, it’ll work out. If it doesn’t, I’ll keep doing my thing

If the band do announce a new album, it will be their first material together since 1978’s Never Say Die.
