Death Cab For Cutie have announced Australian tour dates for February 2012 on the back of their latest album Codes and Keys. This will be the band’s first visit since 2009, where they sold out all their shows on the back of their sixth album Narrow Stairs.
Death Cab for Cutie are one of the few bands who have been able to ignore the perils of fashion and popularity and stay completely focussed on writing great music on their own terms. Each album has shown progression and movement from the last but has been able to retain fierce loyalty and respect from fans who totally understand that they are the go-to band for powerful, melodic, complex and emotive indie pop/rock that is always sophisticated and so effortlessly cool.
Death Cab For Cutie will also be playing on the Perth Festival line-up this year.
