Black Sabbath 2012 Reunion Announced

Black Sabbath members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward have announced at a press conference at the Whiskey A-Go-Go in Los Angeles today that they will be reuniting their original line-up. The band will headline the 2012 Download Festival in the UK before embarking on a world tour. The band will also be recording a new album, which will be produced by Rick Rubin, and half the tracks have already been written. This will be the first album the original members have recorded together since 1978’s Never Say Die

Rumours of the reunion have been running rampant for months now after reports came in during August that the band had been secretly rehearsing together. Although Tommi Iommi then tried to deny the rumour, it actually seemed like he was just annoyed that it had got out there. Ozzy Osbourne has since spoken to the press a number of times confirming that the reunion was on the cards.
