Camp Cope Release ‘Jealous’ From New Album ‘Running With The Hurricane’

Camp Cope will release their third album, Running with the Hurricane, this Friday, 25th March. The Melbourne band have shared the album’s third single, ‘Jealous’.

The build-up to Running with the Hurricane began in November 2021, with the release of ‘Blue’, the Georgia Maq-led group’s first single in more than three and a half years. The album was officially announced in January, with the band also sharing the title track.

‘Jealous’ is vintage Camp Cope, prodding at the moral boundaries of interpersonal and romantic relationships. Though, the chorus lyrics suggest the song may actually be about canines.

“I’m so jealous,” sings Maq. “I’ve been dragging this chain around. I’m so jealous. My love, I’ll run you down. Take me, baby. You’re never in the wrong. I’m so jealous of your dog.”

Camp Cope will tour Running with the Hurricane in May, playing shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Castlemaine. Running with the Hurricane is out this Friday, 25th March via Poison City Records. Find tour dates and listen to ‘Jealous’ below.
