Watch Red Hot Chili Peppers Perform Simultaneously On Jimmy Kimmel & Jimmy Fallon

Red Hot Chili Peppers’ new album, Unlimited Love, came out on Friday, 1st April. To celebrate, the foursome of Anthony Kiedis, Flea, John Frusciante and Chad Smith performed live on both Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

In an April Fool’s gag, Fallon and Kimmel switched hosting duties for their respective shows. Red Hot Chili Peppers performed the album’s lead single, ‘Black Summer’, on the Tonight Show, which is filmed at NBC Studios at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York City.

Meanwhile, the band’s Kimmel performance took place on the rooftop of The Hollywood Roosevelt hotel, located on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the band’s home city of Los Angeles. They played album’s latest single, ‘These Are the Ways’. ‘These Are the Ways’ is one of the album’s heavier songs, and the performance culminated in Kiedis climbing the Hollywood Roosevelt sign.

Unlimited Love is the band’s 12th album and first since reuniting with guitarist John Frusciante (who left after 2006’s Stadium Arcadium). Producer Rick Rubin is also back in the fold, having made way for Danger Mouse on 2016’s The Getaway. Kiedis and Flea are the only band members to have played on all 12 Chili Peppers albums. Unlimited Love is drummer Chad Smith’s ninth and Frusciante’s sixth.
