Shygirl Releases New Single ‘Come For Me’ Produced By Arca

Shygirl will release her debut album, Nymph, in September 2022. The British experimental pop and new rave artist has shared the album’s latest single, ‘Come For Me’.

Venezuelan producer and avant-pop artist Arca produced ‘Call For Me’. Shygirl and Arca previously worked together on the track ‘Watch’ from Arca’s 2020 release, KiCk i. ‘Call For Me’ follows the previous Nymph single ‘Firefly‘, which came out in May.

Shygirl is the project of South London artist Blane Muise. In recent years, Shygirl has worked with FKA twigs (appearing on ‘papi bones’ from twigs’ 2022 mixtape, Caprisongs), slowthai (on the single ‘BDE’), Mura Masa (on ‘bbycakes’ w/Lil Uzi Vert and PinkPantheress), and helped remix Lady Gaga’s ‘Sour Candy’ with Mura Masa and BLACKPINK.

In addition to Arca, Shygirl’s debut album will features collaborations with Mura Masa, Sega Bodega, Karma Kid, and Cosha, as well as producers Noah Goldstein, Danny L Harle, BloodPop, Vegyn and Kingdom. Nymph is out on Friday, 30th September. It follows Shygirl’s debut EP, Cruel Practice, from 2018 and Muise’s breakthrough release, the 2020 EP Alias.

Last year, Shygirl spoke to Pitchfork about her willingness to experiment with various genres and artists. “A lot of time I’m asking like, ‘Why not?'” she said. “‘Why can’t we do it like this? Why can’t we put these two things together?’” Listen to ‘Come For Me’ below.
