Fake Drake Challenges the Real Drake to a Boxing Match

Drake impersonator Izzy Drake, aka Fake Drake, has challenged the real Drake to a boxing match. Fake Drake, who makes a living out of copying pretty much everything the rapper does, issued the challenge during an appearance on the We In Miami podcast.

“I’m challenging Drake to a boxing match,” Izzy said. “I just signed with Celebrity Boxing. If you win, I’ll change my name from Izzy Drake just to Izzy, you know.” Fake Drake added, “If I win, I need a million dollars and I need to be signed to OVO ’cause I’m just trying to feed my family.”

In real Drake news, the Canadian pop star surprise released his latest album, the dance music-influenced Honestly, Nevermind, on Friday, 17th June. The response from fans and critics has been mixed, but it’s had little to no impact on the album’s sales performance – Honestly, Nevermind debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, making it Drake’s eleventh US number one album.

Responding to criticism that Honestly, Nevermind is neither club enough for the club demographic, nor rap enough for the longtime fans, Drake said that… well he doesn’t really care.

“It’s all good if you don’t get it yet,” Drake said in a video posted to Instagram. “It’s all good. That’s what we do, we wait for you to catch up. We’re in here though, we caught up already. On to the next. My goodness!”
