Feist And Mastodon To Release Split Single On Record Store Day

Canadian indie-rocker Leslie Feist has recently revealed her interests in collaborating with metal band Mastodon, following on from the two acts recent appearance on music show Later… with Jools Holland.

After talking about the possibility of a split record, Feist said “Brent was like, ‘Well, I do like that “Bad in Each Other” song, I could see that.’ Maybe now I will look into learning to cover ‘Oblivion’… or anything off The Hunter. That album’s amazing.”

Now, in an interview for MTV News Canada with Mastodon’s Troy Sanders, he revealed the band has decided to take her up on the offer. The two acts will cover one another’s songs for a split single destined for Record Store Day 2012.
