Bruce Springsteen Finishing New Album

Following the recent leaking of Australian tour dates, details are emerging that Bruce Springsteen has nearly finished work on his new album. Already confirming dates on three months of a European tour as well as being announced as the keynote speaker at SxSW in Austin Texas on March 15, you might think The Boss would be busy, but according to Rolling Stone, multiple sources have said that Springsteen is currently finishing the album, which will be ready to release in the new year.

“He’s mastering it right now”, said Bob Seger, who spoke with Springsteen backstage at Seger’s New York show this month. “He says it’s really unusual and that it’s the best thing he’s done in years.”

Playing his first shows without long serving E Street Band saxophonist Clarence Clements, we can only speculate how the live show, as well as the album, will be affected by this loss. However, with the album due next year and the tour reported to be starting with a two-month U.S. arena leg in early March, The U.S. dates to be followed by a European tour of festivals and soccer stadiums that kicks off May 13th in Spain; we’ll soon see.
