Download Festival Announces Acts And More Leaked

Download, has announced another mammoth string of acts for its 2012 festival. Festival organisers have added Soundgarden and Biffy Clyro to the line-up. The bill, which is already being tipped as the biggest line-up of 2012 for the UK, consists of only a few bands at the moment. Previously announced on the line-up was The Prodigy, Metallica (Performing their legendary Black Album in its entirety) and a reformed Black Sabbath.

Now, to make it even better, they have announced another handful of acts. Just to sweeten the deal they’ve also added; You Me At Six, Tenacious D and, surprisingly, UK Drum & Bass outfit Chase & Status have also secured a spot on the bill.

The line-up, which was last year headlined by System Of a Down, Def Leppard and Linkin Park, is already selling out tickets, with only eight acts having been announced, with most VIP tickets having sold out.

However, after the announcement, the above image was uploaded to Soundgarden’s Facebook page, before it was quickly removed. Will Trivium, Lamb Of God and Devin Townsend Project be announced? We shall wait and not jump the gun.
