Yellow Wiggle Greg Page To Rejoin The Group

Greg Page has reclaimed his yellow skivvy and will return to the children’s supergroup later this year.

In what Pedestrian.tv has described as “the feelgood story of 2012 so far” – the original yellow Wiggle is rejoining The Wiggles after recovering from a severe illness.

Page’s replacement – Sam Moran – has graciously decided to step aside after five years as the lead singer of the group, allowing Page to reunite with longtime friends Anthony Field, Murray Cook and Jeff Fatt.

The 40-year-old was forced to quit the Hot Potato hitmakers in 2006 after being diagnosed with orthostatic intolerance – a rare medical condition that affected his ability to stand upright.

Page has hinted on several occasions in the past that he would love to rejoin the group once he recovered – including a tell-all interview with Today Tonight last year.

“This takes me full circle. I’m excited to be back with my friends and to be entertaining our incredible fans again,” he told Sydney Morning Herald.

“I didn’t get a chance to say farewell last time, so this is an opportunity I couldn’t refuse… I’m feeling great and looking forward to doing what I love.”

Moran is now planning to spend more time with his family and put his Fruit Salad-making skills to good use.

“I am very proud of my five years as the yellow Wiggle and the group’s continued success with me as their lead singer,” he said.

“I have enjoyed every minute of my nine years touring with the group, but I now look forward to new opportunities and more time spent with my wife and two-year-old daughter.”

Page won’t need any big re-introduction to fans either. He recently joined the band on stage when they were inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame in November, receiving a massive cheer from the crowd.
