Jack White: ‘I Guess We’ll Do Some Of My Songs’

Today Jack White announced the release of his first ever solo album Blunderbuss and also offered fans a new track to stream.

Of late, Jack has been spending most of his time producing albums for his record label Third Man Records, including collaborations with Tom Jones, Insane Clown Posse (covering Mozart) and Aussie local girl, Lanie Lane.

In a radio interview with BBC1 yesterday, Jack White said he only got around to recording his own stuff because an artist who was booked to record in his studio failed to turn up.

I didn’t really even think of recording under my own name for a long time. I thought ‘I’ve got the rest of my life to do that’. A few months ago, we had a session booked and someone didn’t show up, so I said, ‘I guess we’ll do some of my songs’… It kickstarted the whole process.

A stream of first single Love Interruption can be listened to below…
