Interpol’s Paul Banks To Release Second Solo Album (As Julian Plenti?)

Interpol frontman Paul Banks is working on a new solo album, the follow-up to his 2009 album Julian Plenti is… Skyscraper. It’s not clear whether he will be releasing it under his solo moniker Julian Plenti.

The new album will be released through Matador sometime later this year.

Interpol released their last self-titled album in 2010, with arguably the band’s most popular member and bassist Carlos D leaving the band after completion of the album. Replacement live bassist Dave Pajo quit the band months after that to spend more time with his family.
