Ozzy Osbourne Positive That Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi Will Beat Cancer

As reported by Musicfeeds last month, Black Sabbath’s 63-year-old guitarist Tony Iommi has sadly been diagnosed with lymphoma (cancer of the lymphocyte).

An update on Iommi’s progress had be posted by Blabbermouth, which states that Iommi is actively engaged with his doctors in organising the best possible treatment plan and remains positive about making a full recovery.

One man who is especially positive about Iommi’s recovery is Sabbath’s frontman Ozzy Osbourne. During an interview with Jose Mangin from SiriusXM, Ozzy said…

“What it’s down to is determination, and believe me, this guy’s got more determination than anybody I’ve ever met. It’s gonna be fine. It’s just one of those trials in life that happen, you know. . . He’s got so much support, not only from each one of us in the band, but the fan base; it’s unbelievable. And it’s one of them problems you have in life… He ain’t gonna die, I’m telling you. I told him if he dies, I’m gonna kill him.”

The interview is set to air later today but you can hear a soundbite from the conversation thanks to Metal Injection
