Adele has laughed off a recent comment she made to US Vogue, saying that she would be “fucking off for four or five years” to take a break from music and concentrate on her personal life.
The singer, who suffered vocal chord difficulties last year, got a standing ovation from the audience at the Grammy Awards ceremony, for her come-back performance of hit single, Rolling in the Deep.
She posted in a recent blog about her overwhelming emotions of the night, saying “[i’m] absoloutly flabbergasted! In between laughing my head off, welling up, needing to sit down and trying to maintain an open fire (which is pretty much impossible huh!?)”. A well deserved beginning to 2012.
She also pointed out that she won’t be stopping yet – saying she’ll be having a few days off, then visiting the Brit Awards before going straight into the studio. She finished off by saying “BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!”.
