AJ Maddah sure knows how to work the magic. First he somehow conjured up an on-stage appearance from Slash during Alter Bridge’s set, now he has scored the first ever live performance of Gojira’s 2011 epic, Of Blood and Salt.
Soundwave updated their facebook saying “Devin Townsend and Frederik from Meshuggah join Gojira on stage for a world premiere live performance ‘Of Blood and Salt'” with fans reacting instantly at their awe of the event that is taking place at Perth’s Soundwave earlier today. The track, which is available below, was released in May 2011 and today was the first time Devin and Frederik have joined Gojira on stage to play the song live.
If AJ Maddah keeps his current effort up, a 2013 appearance from The Big 4 would not be surprising, what a way to end what has been the best Soundwave to date.
