Fiona Apple ‘The Idler Wheel…’ New Album Announced (With 23 Word Title)

Fiona Apple will release her new album (get ready for it) The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do in June. The 23-word title, which everyone has agreed will be shortened to The Idler Wheel will be her long-awaited fourth album.

It’s been six years since Fiona Apple last released an album, 2005’s Extraordinary Machine. Since then, there has been minimal activity from her aside from the occasional rumour, and a duet in 2009 with Christophe Deluy.

The new album title is nothing compared to her second album title, known as When the Pawn…; it contained around 90 words, and was actually a poem written by Apple.

No exact release date has been announced, but we should get some cover art and a tracklisitng soon.
