Mumford and Sons To Play For President Barack Obama

The folk-rocking folks of Mumford and Sons have been invited to play at a state dinner at the White House on March 14, 2012 (tonight).

Although the British four-piece will be playing in front of President Obama, it was actually Prime Minister David Cameron who invited the band.

As reported by NME, PM Cameron’s musical leanings have caught the public’s attention, claiming an affinity for alternative rockers The Smiths.

As for the state dinner, Mumford and Sons will be sharing musical duties with John Legend, who was invited by President Obama. Guests who will be appreciating the tunes include pro golfer Rory McIlroy; actors Hugh Bonneville and Damian Lewis; and the ever rich and dapper Richard Branson.

Let’s listen to some Mumford and Sons…hopefully they still drop the F-bomb from this little ditty.
