The Vines Releasing New Music – Not Breaking Up

Last week The Vines ex drummer, Hamish Rosser, told fasterlouder “the band has broken up”, leading to speculation that The Vines may have in fact broken up. However, this is not the case. Music Feeds has contacted the band’s management who have confirmed that Craig Nicholls has absolutely no intention of breaking up the The Vines and that the band will definitely be releasing new music soon.

In December last year Nicholls turned up to Homebake with a new drummer and it was rumoured that he actually kicked Rosser out of the band.

Last week Rosser contacted a number of media outlets trying to push a story on the fact he had left The Vines and was now touring with Wolfmother, purely in a bid to gain publicity for his new band. And they need it.

Last year at Splendour In The Grass Craig told Music Feeds he planned on releasing a new album late 2011 or early 2012:

We’ve already started making our next album and I’m doing vocals on Tuesday, so we’ve recorded all the instruments … then we may record some more so we don’t know … it will either come out late this year or early next year.
