One Great Night on Earth 2012 Line-up Causes Hype

The One Great Night on Earth Festival, aimed at the Baby Boomers and Gen X, has been causing some hype recently after the claims that it will tempt “one of the world’s most amazing and iconic 60s acts out of the US” to reform for the event.

The vibe around the whole festival is that of the 60s, with the musical focus around vintage rock, and a proposed site and stage designed around a re-do of the 69′ Woodstock. It will host international headlining acts supported by leading Australian artists.

The big clue so far as to who the “iconic band” will be is The Doors, who disbanded in 1973 after their singer Jim Morrison passed away:

“How do we resurrect their late, great lead singer? Wait and see. It will send shivers down your spines.”

The event will be held in December 2012 at the base of the You Yangs National Park, with views out over the bay and the city of Melbourne in the distance, running for 12 hours from noon to midnight.
