RIP Jimmy Little

Legendary Australian singer and songwriter, Jimmy Little, has died today aged 75, reports SMH.

As of now the cause of death is unknown, Noise11 report that he died peacefully at his home. Little has suffered a long battle with illness in recent times and in 2004 he underwent a kidney transplant.

Little was the first indigenous Australian to ever crack the mainstream music scene with his hit song Royal Telephone, which was released in 1963.

He was Born in 1937 on the Cummeragunja Mission on the NSW-Victorian border before moving to Sydney at the age of 18 to pursue what seemed his impossible dream of playing music for a living.
