Mr. Little Jeans (aka. Monica Birkenes) of Norway has released a brand new music video for her new track Runaway. Best known for her haunting cover of Arcade Fire’s The Suburbs, Mr Little Jeans has since come into her own.
Runaway was recorded and produced by Tim Anderson (Ima Robot, Dead Man’s Bones) in Los Angeles, and the accompanying video was directed by Zach Shields.
Described as somewhere between St. Vincent’s prettiest moments and Debbie Harry’s wilder inclinations, Mr Little Jeans is a curious thing of equal parts organic magic and buzzing electricity – fronting an army of bright ideas and sharp sounds, “a shipbuilder’s daughter with a voice that could part a sea”.
