Tomorrowland 2012 Tickets Sell Out In Minutes

Tickets for the Belgian Tomorrowland Festival went on sale worldwide a little over an hour ago and sold out in minutes. However, punters may still have a chance to obtain tickets if credit card payments fail after the banks process the payments. The worldwide interest for the festival caused a “profound impact” on the banks’ systems and the ticketing companies server.

The organisers issued a statement via their Facebook page soon after the tickets went on sale:

“At this moment we are processing orders, some type of tickets will be sold out shortly. However, there might still be a small number of day tickets available. This is depending on the feedback we get from the banks that process the payments. The great interest for this event has a profound impact on the systems of these banks, so we’re waiting for them to provide final feedback on all processed transactions.”

At the time of writing, the Tomorrowland website shows all tickets as being sold out.

Belgium locals were lucky enough to get first chance at pre-sale tickets on March 24th; these sold out in minutes as well.
