The Darkness ‘Hot Cakes’ New Studio Album This August

The Darkness have announced the name and release date for their long-anticipated new studio album. The new album will be called Hot Cakes, and is due for release on 20th August. Their last album One Way Ticket To Hell… And Back, was released in 2005.

The group returned with a new song last year, bringing us a new over-the-top single named Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us. This marked their first material in seven years. In a recent interview we did with bass player Frankie Poullain, we found out that he and his former bandmates Ed Graham and Justin and Dan Hawkins reformed over an Indian dinner. In the same interview he revealed that the album would have a title referring to food, sex and music – and is sounding like “a more selective version of Permission To Land.”

The band are currently on tour in Australia, playing shows in Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.
