Parklife 2012 organisers are on the verge of announcing the festival’s first lineup, recently teasing us with the dates. Now only days after this, we’re already seeing some bands announce themselves amongst this year’s list of acts. According to Stoney Roads, two bands have dropped the dates via their Facebook pages, and who knows, we could see even more.
Update: Parklife 2012 lineup has been announced!
The first act is UK dubstep foursome Modestep, who revealed the dates on their calendar, listing all cities. The group made up a part of last year’s Field Day dubstep component, along with other acts like Magnetic Man, Joker, Flux Pavillion and Nero. The next act was DJ Fresh, one of the founding members of British Drum & Bass outfit Bad Company, who revealed he would also visit Australia for the festival’s dates.
Parklife 2012 will run from September 29 to October 7. A big announcement earlier this week revealed that Sydney’s event would get a change of venue, moving from Kippax Lake to its original location deep inside Centennial Park. We should expect the full lineup to be announced soon.
