Watch: Chris Cornell Invites Fan On Stage To Perform Soundgarden Classic

Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell has made a dream come true for a Soundgarden fan while on tour supporting his recent solo endeavors.

Ben Dawson was probably not expecting it to actually happen when he approached Cornell at an in-store signing, asking the musician if he could perform the Soundgarden hit Outshined with him at his show in Newcastle, UK that evening. But, being the good bloke Cornell is, he agreed to the offer, inviting Dawson on stage within a heartbeat and the two shared a song I’m sure he will never forget.

We had our very own Dawson in Sydney, though on a somewhat smaller scale, when August Burns Red invited a fan onstage to play the entire bass part to Composure. That fan also asked the band at an in-store signing in Sydney.

Maybe it’s the thing bands love to say yes to, but everyone is too nervous to ask?
