Watch: Jack Black Steals Show At Queen Tribute Gig

Is there anything Jack Black can’t do? Acting, songwriting, comedy…ok well those are about the only three feathers in his cap, but he truly owns them and at a recent Queen tribute show, Black managed to mash all three together when invited onstage to perform back-up vocals. Like Black knows how to back up…

About halfway through the anthem Bohemian Rhapsody, which we all know was originally performed by Queen and sung by the god-like figure Freddie Mercury, Queen cover act Protomen invited Black on stage to help with the rest of the song just as the choruses all kicked in.

Needless to say, it took Black seconds to appear on stage. The event was held at Tennessee’s well-known Exit/In bar and Protomen feat. Jack Black played the rest of the song to a totally packed room. Black being Black may have gotten a little too into it, rocking so hard the microphone stand broke, creating an awkward moment on stage. Classic. Luckily the stage was at that point packed with musicians, one of whom knew how to put the stand back together, phew!

The whole shebang was caught on film and thanks to TMZ, you can check it out below. Black gets on stage around the 3 minute mark.
