Watch: Radiohead Honour Fallen Team Member

Overnight, Radiohead performed their first show back on the road since the tragic stage collapse last month resulted in injuries as well as the death of drum tech Scott Johnson.

The show, which took place at Nimes in France, was the first gig of many the band rescheduled after the incident. Radiohead performed their track Reckoner: A touching tribute to Johnson. According to Consequence of Sound, throughout the song, the screen behind the band displayed a photo montage of their departed drum tech.

A formal investigation was initiated following the stage collapse, which occurred prior to a performance in Toronto. Only a few people were around at the time as gates were yet to open. To make a terrible situation worse, the band’s entire lighting display was totalled, though that would be a slight setback, incomparable to the loss of a teammate.

Radiohead also surprised fans, according to Pitchfork, with an unexpected rendition of Kid A’s Treefingers, which you can check out below.
