Chugg Confirms Steve Miller Band Australian Tour

On the latest edition of ABC’s RockWhiz, Australian music industry titans Michael Gudinski and Michael Chugg went head-to-head. Gudinski rose victorious at the end of the program but fans of Steve Miller Band were the real winners.

The show was riddled with to-and-fro between the two, though the greatest piece of dialect was when Chugg, who seemed as though he may have smashed a few cheeky beers before filming, stated that he will be bringing down the Steve Miller Band sometime next year. According to TheMusic co-host Brian Nankervis asked Chugg to hook up everyone in attendance with free tickets, but Chugg denied.

It’s been a long time since the Steve Miller band were in town, such a long time that we were unable to find the date, which means it could pre-date the internet (seriously though, if you know, let us know!). The classic rockers have a strong fanbase pretty much the world over and it will surely be a sell-out tour. The band formed in the late 60s and has been releasing albums and singles ever since. They’ve had their fair share of lineup changes, with the constant being Steve Miller himself.

Stay tuned for more news on the tour!
