Splendour In The Grass 2012 Set Times Announced

Splendour in the Grass 2012 organisers have finally released the timetables for this year’s events. Covering the whole 3 days, Friday to Sunday, it starts on day one with Kingswood on Supertop stage and goes right through to Jack White closing out the day.

Day two is when the names start appearing with locals Last Dinosaurs, Tame Impala, and Dirty Three all performing. This is also the day to see internet viral songstress Lana Del Rey, grunge heroes Mudhoney, and UK indie legends Bloc Party. Other highlights include, The Beautiful Girls, Seekae, Miike Snow, and Ladyhawke.

Day Three we see the likes of Metric, Wolfmother, and The Kooks, while locals Ball Park Music, Blue King Brown, and Missy Higgins are peppered all around the stages. Of course, the main attraction to see will be Billy Corgan and his Smashin Pumpkins. While it might not quite be Coldplay, they’re the sort of band everyone can rock out to, hopefully with some classic hits appearing amongst their new album tracks on Oceania.

If the bands aren’t entirely your thing, the Splendour Forum schedule has also been announced, with guests that include: triple j personalities Tom Ballad, Jon Safran, Marc Fennell & Zan Rowe; media and political figures such as Dom Knight and Rob Oakeshott; the comedic stylings of Will Anderson; and a slew of musical acts such as Kav Temperley, Josh Pyke, Kram, Bertie Blackman, and Nina Las Vegas (the last two featuring in the return of popular forum, Women of Letters).
