Homebake 2012 Lineup Coming Next Week

Australia’s own home grown and operated festival Homebake will be returning for another stella instalment in 2012, with organisers announcing today that the official lineup will be arriving next week.

Specialising in Australian music, Homebake is one of our most popular festivals. Despite having no imported talent albeit for the odd Kiwi artist here and there, it still manages to bring one of the biggest crowds around. Well, that is until 2010 when they decided to take a year off. As organisers put it, the planets were not aligned for that year, though it would be returning for a solid 2011.

Update 31/07: Homebake 2012 lineup has been announced!

Update 23/07/2012: Lineup announcement is now expected to come on Tuesday 31st July however, this could change.

In previous years, Frenzal Rhomb, Powderfinger, Grinspoon, Parkway Drive and more recently Gotye have played the event. The first of its kind was in 1996 up in Byron and was at two different locations. Over the years it has become more of an institution, taking on more of a BDO vibe than a SITG vibe, but great times all the same.

So the lineup is now expected Tues/Wed next week, but don’t worry, you just sit there and let us get all the deets.
