Something For Kate Releasing ‘Leave Your Soul to Science’ This September

Much loved Aussie trio Something for Kate will release their sixth album Leave Your Soul to Science on September 28.

The album will be their first new offering in six years – and follows frontman Paul Dempsey’s solo record Everything Is True, which came out in 2009.

The band recorded Leave Your Soul to Science in Dallas, Texas with producer John Congleton – with Dempsey describing it as “the most sonically interesting record” the band has made.

“There’s some really savage, fuzz bass sounds on there. On the one hand, it feels like the most organic record we’ve ever made, because it’s all happened so naturally and quickly. We haven’t over-thought anything.”

You can sign up for pre-sales, secret shows and other goodies in the build-up to the album release at the band’s official website. Something for Kate will play at the Queenscliff Music Festival in Victoria from November 23-25.
