Bad Religion have begun working on their currently untitled 16th studio album, with recording taking place at Joe Barresi’s JHOC Studio (Parkway Drive, Queens of the Stone Age). Blabbermouth has reported that the new record is being produced by Greg Graffin, Brett Gurewitz and Barresi and will undoubtedly be rich with observations about the countless political, social, economical and environmental issues plaguing our world.
Back in May last year Music Feeds reported that Bad Religion singer and professor Graffin hinted that the upcoming record could be the last in the band’s epic existence, which began in 1979: “After this year you probably won’t be seeing much more of us. We’re going to try one more album and then all join the navy, do honest work,” said Graffin at a Bad Religion gig in Boston.
Whether or not Graffin was serious about the band hanging it up, when Bad Religion visited Australia in February of this year they proved that they still have what it takes to put on one hell of a punk rock show.
