Bjork To Team Up With David Attenborough For New Music Documentary

It seems Bjork will team up with the legendary UK documentary presenter David Attenborough for a music documentary. While it might seem like a weird pairing, I don’t think many people will complain too much, and after all, Attenborough is the scientific equivalent of a rock star. In my mind anyway.

The Hollywood Reporter says that the two will pair up for the documentary Attenborough and Bjork: The Nature of Music, which will explore music’s evolution and how technology could influence our relationship with music in the future. The two will co-narrate the whole show and explore many themes, including the Icelandic pop star’s latest album and concept project Biophilia, which pushed technological and performance boundaries last year.

Attenborough will put his natural science genius to good use, looking at music in the animal world, including songs of the reed warbler, blue whales and calls of the lyre bird.

The film will be directed by Louis Hooper and produced by Pulse Films, who also worked on the famous Blur reunion documentary No Distance Left to Run. It will be broadcast on UK’s Channel 4, but hopefully make its way to Australia sometime in the future.
