Jaz Coleman Resurfaces In The Western Sahara Desert

Killing Joke’s frontman, Jaz Coleman, has resurfaced – two weeks after he was reported missing by his bandmates on Facebook.

And it turns out he’s never really been in any danger – with The Guardian reporting he’s been hanging out in Africa’s Western Sahara Desert, writing a solo album, book and TV score.

Coleman wrote on his Facebook page: “I’ve been finishing my book and writing the score for my new project – (The Nirvana Symphonic) – (laughs), what’s all the fuss about then?”

His disappearance gained attention after Coleman, or someone posing as Coleman, posted slanderous remarks about fellow bands The Cult and The Mission on Killing Joke’s Facebook page. Killing Joke were set to tour with both bands in September. Following the incident, there had been no direct contact from Coleman, despite the band’s attempts to locate him.

The Guardian has also reported that now Coleman has been found, Killing Joke have taken the opportunity to unveil a three-disc set of dub remixes, overseen by bassist Martin ‘Youth’ Glover.

The compilation includes remixes by Nine Inch Nails and Spiral Tribe, incorporating songs from as early as 1980.
