Earl Sweatshirt On New Album: “I Anticipate A Loss Of Fans”

The prodigal son of hip hop Earl Sweatshirt has let loose through his Twitter account, giving fans a bit of a prelude to his massively anticipated sophomore solo album, which has had fans glued to their news feeds for updates.

Just last night Earl had a similar Twitter rant on just who will be featured on the release. Needless to say a whole bunch of the Odd Future clique are there, and a few others also. Now, with that off his chest, Earl has explained that his new material might not be to the liking of some, but the recently resurfaced rapper insists it will be a solid release.

It would seem that his recent time spent away from music, fans and social media in Samoa has encouraged Earl to take a much more mature approach to his music, which will no longer be about “raping girls when I was 15”. While his new direction has the young musician anticipating “a loss of fans”, he believes it will attract new ones.

The release title and date is TBA, though we know it won’t be called Earl 2 or Samoa. The album will be the latest in a series of solo/side projects to come out of OFWGKTA, with squat members such as Frank Ocean releasing much sought-after solo work as well as other members Domo Genisus and The Alchemist dream teaming up for an album.

I paraphrased but you can check out the Twitter rant below.
