Metal Band Baroness Injured After Tour Bus Crash

Metal band Baroness have sustained an assortment of mostly minor injures when their tour bus veered off the road and plunged 30 feet to the ground after tipping over the edge of a viaduct (a type of bridge). According to NME, the quartet from Savannah, Georgia were just outside of Bath, UK when the incident occurred.

ITV News reported that the accident took place at the junction of Brassknocker Hill and the A36 at 11.30am, August 15. Meanwhile, BBC News noted that heavy rain played its part in reducing visibility and turning the road into a slippery surface.

There were a total of nine people aboard the bus when it crashed. Of those nine, seven people were treated for minor injuries at Royal United Hospital in Bath, while two with more serious injuries have been taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.

Two citizens who were first on the scene helped out the passengers that they could, using ladders to rescue them. A police investigation is underway to understand the full set of circumstance that led to the incident. You can check out the ITV new reports here.
