New Bob Dylan Song Appears On American TV Drama ‘Strike Back’

A new song from Bob Dylan’s forthcoming record – Tempest – appeared in the season premiere of American TV drama Strike Back in the USA last night.

According to Rolling Stone, the song – Scarlet Town – came on in the end credits in the first episode of the new series of the popular drama.

It has been described as a “haunted, acoustic-driven number supported by strains of David Hidalgo’s violin.”

This isn’t the first time a new Dylan tune has popped up during the show – earlier this month, another track from the record, Early Roman Kings, featured in the trailer to promote Strike Back‘s second season.

Dylan’s 35th studio album, which he described to Rolling Stone as one where “anything goes and you just gotta believe it will make sense,” is released on September 11.

Recently, UK tabloid The Guardian got a sneak preview listen to the album, and described Tempest as possibly “the best thing he’s done in a decade. Read their full analysis here.
