Yeah, you read it right. Irish rockers Two Door Cinema Club have received quite a surprise over the weekend, being told that they would have to book another date in Washington after the most powerful man in the world, Barack Obama, booked out a majority of the opening night.
According to The Sun, the Irish trio were forced to add another Washington show to their tour plans after such high demand. A source has informed the British tabloid that “Alex was delighted to hear their US gig had been practically booked out by Barack and his team. He thinks it’s mad that the President of the United States has their tunes on his iPod. You can’t get a much bigger fan than that.” The President has supposedly booked out a vast majority of the seats for a White House party or present for the staff of the White House. What a legend.
The band release their sophomore album Beacon on September 3, having released the first single Sleep Alone last month. The band will venture Down Under over the New Year, playing the massive Falls Festival lineup, visiting both Lorne and Marion Bay. Unfortunately, I doubt that good old Julia will be booking out the Horden anytime soon to catch the group.
