Virgin America To Host New Music Festival On A Plane

The music festival game has now been taken to new heights with the announcement that Virgin America will be teaming up with promotions company Filter to facilitate a new festival that is set to take place amongst the clouds.

The lineup will include DJ sets from Kevin Barnes (of Montreal) and School of Seven Bells, as well as an acoustic performance by Penguin Prison, according to The 405 news crew. Not to mention sets from The Wombats and our very own Gold Fields.

The fest itself will be called Culture Collide Festival and will take place between LA and NYC. The flight will take off on October 3, and will land on October 3 on the other side of the country. The whole plane thing is the next level in a market that I thought was comfortable on fields, but recently ventured into the ocean, and now the sky!

Probably a bit too red hot for party favours, but it is sure to be a great event none the less.
