Jesse Hughes Labels New Queens Of The Stone Age Album As ‘Badass’

Jesse Hughes, frontman for Eagles of Death Metal, has commented on his bandmate’s soon-to-be-released Queens of the Stone Age album, describing what he’s heard of the release as ‘badass’.

Hughes shares the stage with QOTSA’s Josh Homme, who also resides in EODM. Speaking exclusively with NME, the vocalist has commented on the highly anticipated album, stating that “The shit I’ve heard from the new Queens album is so badass. It’s really cool. It’s the kinda shit that makes John Holmes [legendary porn star] have a bigger dick and he’s dead, so that’s pretty rad.”

Hughes further added an explanation as to how he has heard the long-awaited tunage “because Joshua Homme’s my best friend, I’m very fortunate in that I get to be privy to a lot of the cool shit that happens… [including] the writing process for the new Queens’ album.”

Fans were put into a frenzy when Queens posted a simple, but effective, status from their Official Facebook. The post read ‘Recording’ but was enough to earn thousands of ‘Likes’ in a matter of minutes. That status was backed up by a pic from the studio, with the caption ‘Told ya’.

This will total album number 6 for the legendary band, and the younger brother to 2007’s Era Vulgaris.

And hey, if it’s good enough for Jesse Hughes, it’s good enough for the rest of us.
