Sometime last week, Timbaland heeded a warning that Missy Elliot would be debuting two new singles at a recent performance over the Labor Day weekend in the USA. He was right on the money and now you can check out the new tunes.
So while we don’t have studio recordings of the singles, at least we know they’re real. Elliot unleashed the tracks, titled 9th Inning and Triple Threat while onstage with Timbaland himself, and the audience was totally loving it.
The hip hop queen also managed to pump out some of her original classics Get Ur Freak On and Lose Control before taking the time to lead a prayer in honour of hip hop executive Chris Lighty, according to Pitchfork.
