Adam Yauch, aka MCA is relaxing at home after what thankfully, seems like minor surgery to have a cancerous tumour in his parotid gland.
Yauch stated in an email to fans that his surgery was a week and a half ago, and involved only one night in the hospital. He then went home to have “home cooked food and hang out with the family”.
Yauch still has to have regular radiation treatment, which he calls “a torture”.
He also thanked all of the artists at last weekend’s All Points West festival who paid tribute to the Beasties (who were supposed to headline one of the festival’s three nights). Apparently some of the bands had a go at covering some of the Beasties classics, which in any other situation probably wouldn’t go down to well.
