Fat Freddy’s Drop have today unveiled a series of dates throughout NSW and QLD. Capping the tour off with their performance at Golden Days festival in Coolum, the band will also be bringing with them one of the most elaborate visual displays we’ve ever seen from the gang.
Kicking things off at the Sydney Opera House Graphic Festival, The Drop will be combining artistic forces with NZ street artist Otis Frizzell and will be showcasing their highly visual Blackbird: An Animated & Illustrated Album Preview. This will mark the worldwide premiere of Blackbird (their fourth album) and the exclusively animated, illustrated and performed rendition of it. This will be the one and only chance to experience the album prior to its 2013 release date.
With that ticked off, Fat Freddy’s Drop will be heading north for the Lunar Eclipse, ringing in the event at Port Douglas. The band will then continue their adventure down the QLD coast for their first run of shows in the area since they packed out the Tivoli not once, but twice. So on the advice of promoters, all you banana benders should be at the ready once tix hit the market.
Wrapping things up at Golden Days Festival, fans will be tripping over themselves for another opportunity to witness the Fat Freddy’s Drop chaos live in action. Dates and ticketing information is below.
