Crystal Castles To Release New Album In November

Crystal Castles have confirmed that their third album will hit the shelves in November.

The band have updated their Facebook page with a simple, straightforward status: “new album = november”

The album – the follow-up to 2010’s II – was recorded in Warsaw, mixed in London, and produced by band member Ethan Kath – who told NME that fans can expect something pretty similar to what they’ve done in the past.

“There’s no departure. We like how we sound. We don’t wanna change.”

Fellow band member Alice Glass added: “There’s lots of themes, but feeling, like, oppressed… A lot of things not personally happening to us, since the past record, but people we know, kind of profoundly influenced everything.

“Like, I didn’t think I could lose faith in humanity any more than I already had, but after witnessing some things, it just… the world is a dystopia. I’m one step away from being a vigilante. I’ve thought about it”.

Crystal Castles will be in Australia for Big Day Out in January. Earlier this week, they announced sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne, which you can read about here.
