Muse To Tour NZ / Australia Early 2013?

During an interview with The New Zealand Herald, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has potentially let slip some of the greatest news that Muse fans will have heard in a while: the band will be in town next year.

According to the newspaper, Bellamy has confirmed to Time Out that they will be returning to NZ in the “first part of next year”. This is in contrast to previous statements from the band, who told us all earlier this year that they won’t be coming down until 2014.

The new suggested date of early-mid 2013 does make a lot of sense as their new album The 2nd Law (out September 27) will have been released and had time to resonate by then. It would also match up with comments from the group’s drummer, Dominic Howard, who spoke to thepress.co.nz stating: “We love touring New Zealand – absolutely 100 per cent we’ll be there, it might just not be for a year.”

If this is the case we can probably expect more details to come very soon, unless Bellamy just got his years muddled up.
