Laneway Festival 2013 Lineup Coming Wednesday

Here we go! Just two more sleeps until organisers behind Laneway Festival bestow upon us the official lineup announcement for the return of the gig next year.

For the 9th year of the event, Laneway have promised a bigger lineup than anything they’ve done in previous years. They have also promised that they will be swinging by all 7 cities that were visited in 2012. This will include international stints in the laneways of Auckland and Singapore – before returning for the Brissy, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth leg.

The boutique festival emphasises community and youthful talent, as well as time-tested greats, summer, and just general great times in a laneway. Top dogs announced a few months back via Twitter that the ladies will in fact be stealing the spotlight at next year’s fest, but despite popular rumours, Cat Power was ruled out. There are still many more favourites to appear, including Yeasayer, Mount Eerie, Japandroids, Purity Ring, Daughter, Haim, and Jessie Ware, all of whom have expressed signs of being Down Under on or around the time of the festival.

What we can confirm now are the dates, which have already been announced. You can see which city will match up with which date below. The lineup is coming on Wednesday at 8:30am
