Just yesterday Music Feeds reported on the upcoming global farewell tour from house heavyweights Swedish House Mafia. Now the full tour date schedule has been published by Rolling Stone, and Australian fans will undoubtedly be disappointed not to see our country on the list.
Update 07/11/2012: Looks like Swedish House Mafia will tour Australia after-all
The world tour – which begins in Dubai and ends in Los Angeles – while including three shows in the group’s hometown of Stockholm, Sweden does seem a little sparse for Swedish House Mafia’s final run. Perhaps more countries will be added to the list to give fans around the world the chance to see their house heroes one last time, but for now it looks like Australian fans unwittingly have already said goodbye in March at Future Music 2012.
When news first broke of the trio’s impending break-up, the music community was shocked as a statement on the Swedish House Mafia’s website thanked fans for their continued support but gave no insight as to why Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso decided to split.
“Today we want to share with you that the tour we are about to go on will be our last. We want to thank every single one of you that came with us on this journey. We came, we raved, we loved.”
